Update From Naomi — May 2025

Shamma* (photo, left) received the audio Bible eagerly from our partner, Pastor S last month.  God used your prayers and financial support of Audio Scripture Ministries (ASM) to provide Shamma with the audio Bible.

Thank you for giving her the gift of hearing God’s Word in her own heart language!

“I will be a student of the Bible through this solar audio Bible,” she exclaimed.  Shamma committed to listening to God’s Word, and promised to use her home as a place for others to gather to hear God’s Word.

I will share this audio Bible with 10 families in my village,”

she added.  Shamma is listening and she’s helping others hear it tooPraise the Lord!

ASM believes every person has the right and the need to hear God’s Word in their own heart language.  Yet, shipping audio Bibles or hand-carrying them into countries hostile to the Gospel, like Shamma’s in West Africa, can be dangerous.  ASM prays for Holy Spirit wisdom, and then works with our national partners to find the best way to share the Bible in the region.  Together we carefully evaluate what device—or delivery mechanism—can be most effective.

Shamma’s audio Bible (in her left hand above) is a solar speaker from the local market.  Generous ASM donors like you equipped these Gospel Partners with speakers and SD cards to make “homemade” audio Bibles, so that Shamma and her village can hear the Good News of Jesus.  Perhaps soon we will hear of a new church being planted because of Shamma’s faithfulness in sharing God’s Word in audio!  Would you pray with us?  Lord, may it be!

Thank you for praying and giving to ASM so that more people will hear God’s Word in their own heart language, come to faith in Jesus Christ, and become reproducing disciples!  You are making an eternal difference in Shamma’s life and so many more!

Prayerfully and expectantly,
