Update From Naomi — August 2026

Imagine losing everything—the people you love, your home and possessions, and your livelihood.

Audio Scripture Ministries (ASM) Gospel Partner Pastor G* is in South Sudan this month bringing the Hope of Jesus to a country that some say is on the brink of renewed civil war.  Thank you for your prayers and support of ASM that made this Trip of Hope possible.

Pastor G* says his team of 15 people will be in several remote villages, and then in a refugee camp with thousands of people displaced from their homes because of continuing violence.  He and his team will distribute nearly 1,500 audio Bibles, train Christians in Bible Engagement discipleship, and offer help and encouragement in the name of Jesus.

These men, women, and children urgently need to hear about Jesus.  Because many don’t read, and they live where electricity is simply not available, they need solar-powered audio Bibles, which (in this case) are SD cards with audio Bible content plugged into solar speakers from the local market.

Praise the Lord that families and whole communities now sit together to listen to and learn God’s Word.  In the midst of unimaginable loss, they now hear the life-giving Word of God.

Would you please pray for Pastor G and his team, as they travel long distances by motorbike, baja off-road vehicles, and canoe so that God’s Word is proclaimed?  Travel is dangerous.

Your commitment to sharing Jesus, the Only Way, the Only Truth, and the Only Life (John 14:6), is helping change lives like these for eternity.  Thank you for being a central part of sharing the love of Jesus in this very difficult location.   May God bless you for your faithfulness to Him!

Prayerfully and expectantly,
