They came from different backgrounds—engineers, technicians, interns, and ministry leaders. All gathered for one purpose: sharing the story of Scripture.
ASM Bible Engagement Director Tara Rye and Communications and Design Manager Allison Wilcox led a group from ASM Gospel Partner SonSet Solutions in this time of training and collaboration.
Together, this team practiced sharing the 6 Acts of the Bible, opened God’s Word, prayed, wrestled with what they had learned, and asked a question that carried eternal weight:
“Lord, as we return to the people You’ve called us to serve,
what story from Your Word do You want us to share?”
Several members of the team would soon travel to different corners of the world. Some would install solar ministry toolkits that bring power to remote communities; well-monitoring systems to ensure clean drinking water; and radio receivers to spread the message of God’s Word throughout the region. Any conversation, relationship, or village visit could become an opportunity to introduce someone to Jesus.
That is the heart of Bible Engagement.
It’s not simply knowing more of the Bible. It’s becoming so shaped by God’s Story that sharing it becomes a natural part of everyday life. A technician can install a solar panel—and also share about the Light of the World. An engineer can solve a technical problem—and also introduce someone to the Savior of our souls.
One participant was excited to apply what they had learned, saying,
“The 6 Acts of the Bible empowered me to share
the full [overview of the] Bible in just a couple of minutes.”
As the SonSet Solutions team left the training, they carried Bible stories they had prayed over, embraced, and prepared to share. Stories that will be remembered, retold, and multiplied wherever God sends them next.
