This Christmas, you sent the Word of God to places where hope has been hard to find.
In one region, your support of ASM made it possible for hundreds of audio Bibles to be delivered through Pastor Simon, a Gospel Partner in East Africa, to refugee families now living in temporary shelters along a border. One woman shared her testimony, “I lost everything in the war…my family, my property…but today I met Jesus through His Word, the audio Bible.”
Thank you for showing the love of Jesus to these families, who have fled their homes under threats of violence.
More than 70 church leaders from the region joined in a discipleship training event, as Pastor Simon and his team equipped them with Bible Engagement training to more effectively share the Gospel and make disciples using Bible storying and audio Bibles.
For some leaders, the audio Bibles opened doors that had long been closed. One pastor shared, “I can’t read well, and the audio Bible will read for me. I thank God that the audio Bible will be my friend [I’ll keep near] forever.”
Praise God that His Word is being heard, understood, and shared on these solar-powered devices!
Another pastor rejoiced at what this means for their ministry, saying, “We now have a simple way of winning more souls to Christ: the audio Bibles.”
The impact is already multiplying. In one village, there is a nearby road where thousands of people pass by each month. One participant excitedly committed to sharing God’s Word with 30 people…one each day. Others are committed to taking the audio Bibles from village to village so lives may be transformed just like theirs were.
God is meeting people in deeply personal ways. Through your prayers and generosity, people are hearing the living Word of God, placing their faith in Christ, and asking to be baptized. As Simon shared, “Together, as partners in the Gospel, we are reaching more souls with the living Word of God.”
Let’s continue to pray for these Gospel Partners and ask God to bring the hope of His glorious Gospel to those who need it—from one listener, family, and community to another.
