Eulogio Lorenzo named his truck “La Misionera” (The Missionary) because every difficult road it endures is part of the mission to carry God’s Word to places few are able to go.
When ASM Latin America Directors Jim and Jamie Loker traveled to the Otomi region of Mexico in February, they carried newly-recorded audio Bibles in the Nhuyu language for some of the least-reached communities in the states of Hidalgo, Puebla, and Vera Cruz.
Deep in the mountains,
God’s Word arrived in Nhuyu for the first time.
With a team from ASM Partner Galcom, they drove deep into the mountains, and placed God’s Word into eager hands. Then, with the first part of the delivery completed, the short-term team boarded flights to return home.
Eulogio, a Nhuyu pastor, with ministry partners, Enrique and Abraham, took the next leg. This “band of brothers” traveled farther into the mountains, and deeper into communities that had never held Scripture in their own language. Each one brought church members to sit with people, build relationships, and show them how to use the audio Bibles.
They loaded La Misionera with
400 remaining audio Bibles and
headed to villages yet unreached.
