“Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!” 2 Corinthians 9:15
“Indescribable.” The Apostle Paul used the Greek word “anekdiēgētō” (don’t worry, I can’t pronounce it either!) in this verse to indicate a gift so wonderful and so inexpressible that words failed him. As believers, this “indescribable gift” of Jesus Christ is one we don’t earn, one we don’t deserve, and one that should be shared generously with others. Praise God for His Gift!
Earlier in Chapter 9, Paul reminded the Corinthians of a gift they had promised, encouraged them with God’s principles of sowing and reaping generously, and emphasized that praise would rise to God as a result of their generosity.

God uses your prayers for significant ministry breakthroughs in Gospel -unreached regions of the world. God uses your financial support to sow the Gospel broadly and deeply through recording and distributing His Word, Bible Engagement, and in serving as the hands and feet of Jesus in Integral Mission.
God uses your generosity to increase praise and glory to His name. We praise God for you!
Praises are rising to God from those who hear His Word and are discipled, and as they feel God’s love through medical care and agricultural training.
As you read ASM’s Annual Report and view the video stories online, it’s my hope and prayer that praise to God will also rise from your lips at what He has done. God has used your faithfulness in supporting ASM to make a difference in the lives of people around the world.
One of my favorite hymns is “O for a Thousand Tongues to Sing” by Charles Wesley. The second verse goes like this:
“My gracious Master and my God, assist me to proclaim,
to spread thro’ all the earth abroad the honors of Your Name.”
Together, let’s lift hearts full of praise to God for those people listening to His Word, coming to faith in Jesus Christ and being discipled, and actively participating in a growing fellowship of believers. Together, let’s proclaim His “indescribable gift” and bring honor to His Name throughout the earth!
