Picture of Care

Your prayer and support make it possible for Dara Vanden Bosch, ASM Compassionate Care Coordinator and RCA Missionary, and her Compassionate Care Team (CCT) to provide essential palliative care in rural Mozambique. One powerful moment from their work was recently recognized in the True Colors Trust Photo Competition hosted through the African Palliative Care Association because of its holistic approach in addressing the physical and spiritual needs of patients. Awarded 4th-place in the competition, the photo (pictured, left) shows CCT member Mariana, visiting a patient and offering a solar-powered audio Bible filled with songs and Scriptures in the patient’s heart language.

This image captures just one of the moments of God at work through this Team, as they bring dignity and spiritual care to patients during their most vulnerable times. As God is at work behind the scenes, your prayers and support make this ministry possible—making God’s comfort and presence tangible.

Many Mozambicans face challenging times. Millions are affected by drought, food insecurity, and political instability—but the promises of God are unchanged. God’s Word reminds us of His faithfulness, which never wavers, even as we near the end of our life on earth. Thank you for bringing hope through God’s Word! Pray for strength, peace, and wisdom for this team, and for God’s Word to take root and bring salvation and true comfort.
