For a Million Makua

Because of your faithful support, the Makua Shirima Old Testament Recording Project is now complete in central Mozambique.

There are nearly one million people who speak Makua Shirima. Many do not read their own language. This recording is vital for the many Makua eager to hear the full, transformative Word of God!

Through your prayers and faithful support, Chad Vanden Bosch’s team in Mozambique has overcome the final obstacles and completed this recording. Praise God!  The team was joyful as they gathered in the Nhambia studio in Central Mozambique, listening together as the final version played—the full Word of God.

After a simple but heartfelt celebration, Chad reports that the readers are now heading home. They are not returning empty-handed, but are bringing back the first two FULL audio Bibles in Makua Shirima—a milestone, now in their hands, ready to be heard in each of their own communities.  Thank you for helping make this possible!

Now we need to join prayer for every listener, as the first audio Bibles are distributed. Let’s pray for the Makua Shirima to hear and understand the story of their Creator and come to accept and cherish Jesus’ perfect, atoning Sacrifice, for them.

Pray with us for many more audio Bibles to be distributed with these newly-recorded Bible books, and for many more to come to know our marvelous Savior!
