“Attention Shoppers! Look up and look around for the latest blue light special!”
If you are of a certain age, perhaps you remember those loud announcements followed by an urgency to see if the “blue light special” was indeed special. It was long before Prime, Marketplace, or Black Friday Deals (that now begin in August)!
As believers in Jesus, we also need to “Look Up and Look Around.” Not for “blue light specials,” of course, but rather to keep our eyes on Jesus, to witness what God IS doing, and to see how He IS calling us to join HIM. As you pray and give to share God’s Word through Audio Scripture Ministries (ASM), you are part of looking up and looking around globally in obedience to Him.
Our Savior’s exclusive claim about Who He is, and how to know God, guides all we do:
“Jesus answered, ‘I am the Way and the Truth and the Life.
No one comes to the Father except through Me.’”
John 14:6, NIV (emphasis added)
In a world filled with ambiguity and many claiming numerous ways to God, we are compelled by the exclusive claim of Jesus Christ. It’s the central message of the Gospel, which motivates us to share Jesus with urgency. It’s a privilege to join with you in proclaiming that Salvation only because of Jesus and only through Jesus.
ASM, and our partners in more than 35 countries, share Jesus so that more people will hear that He is the only Way, the only Truth, and the only Life.
All Gospel partnerships that are developed, each audio Bible recorded and distributed, every Bible Engagement Training, and the focus of Integral Mission efforts, have one goal—introducing people to Jesus.
These young boys from Northern Kenya spend days, and sometimes weeks, away from their families to find grazing for their camels. Thanks to you, they have been introduced to Jesus and given the living and active Word of God as a life-giving companion as they roam.
Pastor Samuel reports these nomadic shepherds listen to God’s Word after milking their camels in the morning. He says:
“The Word of God draws the shepherd boy to God and nurtures his spirit.”
Praise the Lord that God’s Word can—and does—go everywhere, even into the desert!
ASM Gospel Partner Dahus* and his team in South Asia have distributed hundreds of audio Bibles this year! Dahus reports that people happily receive the audio Bibles and that listening to them “blesses their personal lives and families.” Dahus says as they share God’s Word, “We challenge them to not just listen but to reach others also by using these audio Bibles.” Let’s pray with Dahus that God will empower men and women in rural—and urban areas—to share with those who are separated from God and don’t yet know Jesus.
Thank you for joining us in this adventure of joyful obedience to share Jesus as the only Way, the only Truth, and the only Life!
Together—let’s look up, keeping our eyes on Jesus.
Together—let’s look around at what God is doing.
Together—let’s proclaim Jesus in places
where His Name has not yet been heard.
