Hunger to Know More

God can use every Bible story we tell to spark a hunger for more.

During a recent training in West Africa, D* sat listening as ASM Bible Engagement Director Tara Rye shared the 6 Acts of the Bible teaching. From Creation to Christ’s return, the group discussed and explored the “big story” of Scripture. After the training, D* said he realized how much of God’s Word he had never heard before. That moment stirred something deep within him, a hunger to know more.

Now, at age 30, D* listens. Day after day, an audio Bible in the Zarma language fills his heart and mind, and he wants to share what he hears with others. He says his hunger has grown so much that he now hopes to learn to read, as another way to better understand God’s Word.

It all began with hearing Scripture. Through audio, the story of God is now being heard and taking deeper root in his life. And it is growing, as he is becomes confident in sharing each Bible story with others. Pray for a “hunger for righteousness” to grow in every listener and person equipped!
