Summer Letter from Naomi Frizzell

My parents modeled a deep love and respect for God’s Word that transferred to their three children. Some of my earliest memories are of listening to my dad read the Bible each night at family devotions, and seeing my mom and dad reading and praying over their Bibles early in the morning and late at night. In fact, growing up in a “Scripture-rich” environment I don’t remember a time when I didn’t hear God’s Word. Maybe you have had a similar experience.

Sadly, millions of people still don’t have the ready access to the Bible that you and I enjoy. They have never heard the name of Jesus or learned of God’s great love for them. Many live in cultures that emphasize oral learning and communication and can’t, don’t or won’t read. Others have physical barriers that keep them from reading.

While millions still need God’s Word, your prayers and financial support are making a difference! We praise and give God thanks that audio Bible players have been personally carried or shipped to nearly every part of the world, including most recently to Nepal, China (via Hong Kong), Mozambique, India, Zambia and Mexico.

The next time you pick up your Bible, or listen to God’s Word, ask yourself, “What if I hadn’t heard God’s Word?”. Then, join me in taking a moment to thank God for the blessing of His Word and pray for the millions who have yet to hear.
