“Lord, please help me to be generous,” is my prayer every day.
I’ve found, maybe you have too, that praying to live generously is like asking God for patience. Opportunities to live that prayer generously toward others come at the most “inconvenient” times!
British evangelist and theologian John Wesley said, “Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can.” His all-in statement doesn’t really leave anything out, does it? It’s a call to the radical generosity of serving—wherever, however, to whomever, by all means possible.
Radical generosity is a core value at Audio Scripture Ministries (ASM).
ASM believes every person has the right and the need to hear God’s Word in their own heart language. Through every available means—audio Bible recordings, cell phone apps, story-centric discipleship, hospice and palliative care, addressing food insecurity, and the list goes on—God is using your prayers and financial support of ASM to generously share the Gospel Good News.
As believers in Jesus, our model of radical generosity is God Himself. The Apostle Paul reminds us that, “…God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ,” (Ephesians 2:4-5a, NIV).
Praise God that while we were still dead in our sins, His radical, generous love and mercy provided a way for us to come alive again through Jesus Christ.
Yet, just imagine never hearing that Gospel Good News. For 1.6 billion people in the world that’s a daily reality because they haven’t yet heard of God’s generous love and generous hope.
Together, we’re helping change that by responding generously to those who are eager to hear the Gospel Good News.
God is using you to provide audio Bibles, Bible Engagement training and resources, and holistic support to an ever-expanding group of Gospel partners in Greater South Asia, in Mozambique, Mexico, Uganda, Kenya, and elsewhere on the continent of Africa, and in the United States.
God is using you to share His love through Rabeca (Mozambique), Edi (Mexico), John (Greater South Asia), Asaph (East Africa), Samuel (South Asia), and many other men and women who pour themselves out in radical generosity so that God’s name is proclaimed. Thank you.
That’s the life I want to live, a life of radical generosity.
Together, let’s do all we can, in all the ways we can, in all the places we can, at all the times we can, to all the people we can, as long as ever we can … so that all may hear God’s Word!
