In All the Ways You Can

You may have noticed a slight change recently in the way we talk about Audio Scripture Ministries (ASM). We’ve been working to clearly and simply communicate what we do, and how we do it:

“Connecting people to God’s Word in their own heart language,
by recording and distributing Bibles and Bible engagement resources in audio.”

This sentence articulates our 50-year passion as a ministry to make God’s Word accessible to those who need it the most, and to help them understand what they’re hearing.

Connecting People

God has blessed ASM with wonderful missionaries, and excellent national partners and teams in India, Mexico and Mozambique. We also partner with outstanding like-minded denominations, churches, ministries and individuals who take our audio recordings and audio Bibles to people throughout the world.

God is using your prayers and financial support to connect the day laborer with leprosy in India, the bi-vocational pastor in the Philippines, the child with malaria in Mozambique, and the pastor’s wife in Mexico, to God’s Word.

To God’s Word

Connecting people to God’s Word takes many forms – audio Bible players, SD cards, USB memory sticks, cell phone apps and more. While the delivery method may vary, God’s Word is our focus because we believe, “… faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God” Romans 10:17 (NKJV).

God is leading ASM in developing strong partnerships with more translation ministries to increase our audio Bible recordings. We’re also recording and distributing Christian songs, children’s Bible stories, and Biblical teaching to help encourage local believers as they grow in their faith.

In Their Own Heart Language

Many of the people we serve may not be able to read or write, but to function in their community they must speak or understand two or even three languages. We use the term “heart language” to mean the language they were raised in or use to communicate with family and friends. Some have also described it this way … it’s the language in which they celebrate, get angry, grieve, or dream.

Our God is powerful, and making the Bible available in heart languages provides a tremendous testimony of His power and His love. One man said, “We have worshiped many gods, but this God speaks our language. He must be the one true God.” Important Biblical concepts, references and lessons also become clearer when people hear them in their own heart language.

We praise God for how He is allowing ASM to access a greater number of Bible translations, find additional local readers for heart language resources, and distribute more audio Bibles. We also thank God for you and your consistent prayers and generous financial gifts that are making this happen. Thank you!

So ALL Will Hear!

You may have heard this quote:

“Do all the good you can, By all the means you can,
In all the ways you can, In all the places you can,
At all the times you can, To all the people you can,
As long as you ever can.”

That about covers it, doesn’t it? ASM is committed to that sense of “all”:

● Serving as the hands and feet of Jesus to all in our Compassionate Care ministry
● Distributing God’s Word, using all appropriate technology
● Going wherever there are needs and open doors
● To every people group
Until the Lord comes again.
