ASM Celebration Recap

John Piper says, “To know Christ is to embrace the nations with Him.”

On September 11th we gathered and chose to embrace the nations. As a staff and with the Body of Christ in West Michigan we celebrated the amazing work God has been doing through Audio Scripture Ministries in recent years both here in the US as well as abroad. Grooter’s and Beal brought us into a time of Spirit-led worship and we were able to praise God for the amazing progress and updates from India, Mexico, and Mozambique.

In honor of Ron Beery, our late founder, we set aside time to remember our roots and the impact Ron had on this ministry. His granddaughter created a beautiful portrait of Ron that was unveiled after his wife, Alice, spoke and we were able to celebrate the eternal legacy that continues on. In honor of Ron, a memorial fund has been set up to raise funds for audio Bibles that will go straight into the field. What began as $11,349 has jumped to $43,870! Thanks to the incredible generosity of our guests and supporters we raised $32,521 from this ASM event and many more will have access to the Scriptures in their heart language.

We are thankful for a blessed night of celebration and all those who came out to support our vision. As we take the time out to rejoice over what God has done, we are eagerly anticipating how God will move and the new avenues He will open up to share the power of His Word in the near future. We believe every Christian is called to be an active disciple and we are looking to God to continue stirring hearts for the Great Commission in West Michigan and far beyond it. Please continue to lift up ASM in your prayers so that we may “together with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Romans 15:6).
