This March, ASM’s team had the joy of welcoming Helen Etyang from Theovision Kenya to Michigan for the first time. It was a visit filled with meaningful conversations, shared vision, and deepened relationships—reminding us why strong partnerships are essential to building Gospel Momentum.
Helen’s time with the ASM team wasn’t just about meetings and events. It was about connection. From sharing family meals with several different team member’s families, touring the West Michigan area, to seeing how the ASM Resource Department loads and sends out audio Bibles, each moment strengthened the bond between our ministries.
During a team luncheon, Helen shared powerful stories from Theovision Kenya’s work—stories of transformed lives through audio Bibles, the growing prison ministry, and the challenges and triumphs of bringing God’s Word to those who need it most. One story stood out: a prison warden who, although not yet a Christian, after experiencing the prayers of Helen and her team, acknowledged the power of the God of the Bible. Pray for God to continue to work in his life!
While in West Michigan, Helen was able to share with a group of ASM prayer and financial partners about the urgent need for audio Bibles in prisons. (More project details to come!) The Gospel potential is huge, as inmates are hearing the Gospel in their own language, and then take their audio Bibles back home upon release—spreading the message even further. Both chaplains and prison wardens are noticing the transformation God is bringing.

Helen’s visit was also a time for team members and supporters to join together in prayer. Last year, Theovision Kenya’s building burned down (pictured, bottom-left), which was a devastating loss. Yet their mission continues. Of the 40 languages spoken in Kenya, they’ve already recorded Scripture in 30 of those languages—as testimony that God’s purposes will prevail and His work never stops.
Before returning home, Helen traveled to Chicago, meeting with additional partners who share a passion for bringing God’s Word to the nations.
Now that she’s headed home to Kenya, we pray for continued conversations, strengthened partnerships, and open doors for the work ahead—because when we partner together, the Gospel goes further.
How You Can Pray:
With Theovision Kenya and Tirrim Trust, another key Gospel Partner, we’ve compiled a daily prayer guide
to lead you in prayer for the work God is doing in Kenya. Will you commit to pray with us over the next 30 days?

Thank you for praying and standing with us in this mission!
